## What Archet is

Archet lets businesses build AI customer-support agents without writing code. You describe an agent's goals, skills, and guardrails in plain English, and Archet runs the production infrastructure: hosting, streaming, escalation, audit logging, and quality monitoring.

Archet agents are autonomous. They reason about each question and adapt to situations no one pre-built a path for, instead of following scripted decision trees. Through the open Model Context Protocol (MCP), agents connect to business tools to take real actions — looking up orders, taking governed order actions like refunds and cancellations, updating CRM records.

## How Archet is different

- Autonomous, not scripted: agents reason through problems instead of following decision-tree flows.
- Grounded knowledge retrieval: Archet stores complete crawled pages and uploaded documents, then uses full-text search to retrieve ranked, bounded excerpts from the sources you attach to each agent, so answers stay grounded in a cited source.
- Embeddable on your own domain: deploy a chat widget with a single script tag, not a third-party chat window.
- Open connector ecosystem: integrations use MCP, an open standard, rather than proprietary lock-in.
- Model-flexible: Claude models by default (Haiku, Sonnet, and Opus, depending on plan), with OpenAI models available to eligible organizations under the same governance, approval, and audit layer.

## Who Archet is for

Archet's core customers are e-commerce and DTC brands, SaaS companies, and agencies. The ideal customer has meaningful inbound support volume (roughly 100+ tickets per month) and existing documentation or a help center the agent can learn from. Companies of 10–500 employees are the primary fit.

- SaaS product support: agents answer from full product documentation.
- Internal team support: deploy an agent into Slack for teammates to query.

## Deployment channels

Archet agents deploy to three channels today, all sharing one configuration:

1. Website widget — one script tag embeds a chat widget on any site.
2. Slack — customers or teammates @mention the agent in a channel.
3. WhatsApp — agents respond over WhatsApp Business messaging.

## Connectors

Archet connects to external tools through MCP. Connectors include Shopify (storefront, Admin, and customer-account APIs), Klaviyo, Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce, and GitHub, with more available through the open MCP standard. Archet has a dedicated Shopify integration and a Shopify app. Each agent's tool access is gated by guardrails the operator configures.

## Pricing

Archet prices per conversation — one session with unlimited messages — not per message. There are five plans:

- Free — $0/month. 50 conversations/month, 1 agent, 1 deployment, Haiku model. For evaluation.
- Starter — $49/month ($490/year). 500 conversations/month, 3 agents, 2 connectors, Haiku and Sonnet models, human handoff.
- Pro — $199/month ($1,990/year). 2,500 conversations/month, 10 agents, 5 connectors, approval workflows, audit log, and quality monitoring. Most popular plan.
- Business — $599/month ($5,990/year). 10,000 conversations/month, unlimited agents and connectors, all models including Opus.
- Enterprise — custom pricing. Unlimited usage, SSO, and custom data-residency options.

## Common questions

Is Archet a chatbot? No. Traditional chatbots follow scripted flows and break on unexpected questions. Archet agents reason autonomously and adapt to novel questions.

Does Archet use RAG? Not vector-embedding chunked RAG. Archet stores complete crawled pages and uploaded documents, then uses PostgreSQL full-text search to retrieve ranked, bounded excerpts from the sources you attach to an agent, each returned with its source title and URL.

Do I need to write code? No. Agents are configured through a visual interface. The only code is one script tag to embed the widget.

What can an agent do besides answering questions? Through MCP connectors it takes real actions — looking up Shopify orders, drafting governed refunds and cancellations for one-click approval, updating HubSpot records, posting to Slack — all gated by operator-set guardrails.

Can a human take over a conversation? Yes. Agents escalate automatically when they reach their limits, a teammate can take over any live conversation with full context, and the conversation can be handed back to the agent.

How does Archet compare to Intercom Fin, Zendesk AI, Tidio, or Gorgias? Those tools rely on scripted flows and often bill per message or per credit. Archet reasons autonomously, retrieves grounded excerpts from the sources you attach, and prices per conversation with a transparent USD cost ceiling.
